Wally’s Hearth is Illinois’s first social-model hospice home—created for this moment. We offer a peaceful, intimate home environment where people in their final days are cared for like beloved family and neighbors, with 24/7 support, gentle routines, and room for loved ones to be together. Each day is guided by dignity, comfort, and choice, with trained staff and volunteers coordinating closely with hospice providers so care feels seamless and person-centered.
For families, Wally’s Hearth brings steadiness and relief; for our community, it’s a shared promise that no one will reach the end of life without companionship or respect. Your support helps launch this Chicagoland pilot and fuels a model that we hope will grow into neighborhood satellites—alongside deathcare education classes and resources offered across the community, connecting people with the tools and information they need.
